Just like Europe, South America is forming a political union which, surprise surprise is modelled on the EU.

It looks like the world is being divded up into new mega blocks by geographical region, all of which are going to be just like the EU, and presumably answer to an even more abstract higher authority which controls the whole world.
The New World Order is taking shape right under everyone's noses!
