Quite shocking isn't it?
To see the power of the media you only need see just how much sway the likes of The Sun has in the UK. Frankly, I think it's a comic, but many people actually think it a factual and absolutely reliable source of news. - Un-baised news at that! |

yeah it is quite worrying that a rag like the sun can have such an influence, haven't looked at a copy in years now, not that i was ever i big reader of it, or any paper for that matter, they're all owned by the same handful of people, just like the states |

Sometimes the Gulf and Russian news agencies carry stories "overlooked" by those in the mainstream West. I also find that the Australian agencies are a little more "open".
Incidentally, if you ever need news archives the Australian and New Zealand ones are usually free, unlike the robbing bastards here. |
